I
saw the first swift of the season this morning, Feb 19, fly out of a hole in the
Kotel ten minutes before sunrise. He flew to the south, was joined by another
swift, and disappeared. This evening at sunset I was in western Jerusalem (Bayit
Vegan) and saw a group of three and another group of 5 nearby, flying above the
buildings.
